It is inevitable for chiller to produce sound when working. For example, fan rotation, fan blade friction with air will produce sound. Normal sound is allowed, but serious, sudden, harsh and irregular noise is worth our attention!
By listening we can find the general location of the noise and then do something about it. Here are some common noise causes and solutions:
First of all, from the components that are easy to check and observe to find the cause:
1. Whether the anchor screws are loose
The chiller is fixed on the ground. After running for a long time, the anchor bolt will become loose, which will cause instability of the chiller and noise. This situation can be solved by replacing the anchor bolt.
2. Whether the connecting pipeline is firm
There are large and small pipes on the chiller, connecting the chiller, cooling equipment and other auxiliary devices. The connecting screws are loose and will produce noise after operation. The solution is to fix the pipes and equipment.
3. Whether there is a problem with the fan
The air cooled chiller is equipped with a fan fan, which is composed of a fan hood and a blade. The blade is deformed by external force and will generate noise after rotation. The fan hood will also cause noise due to dust and debris entering.

4, whether the water pump abnormal sound
The reasons for abnormal sound of water pump are mostly because of water quality, which is not clean enough and causes blockage of water pump pipeline, resulting in abnormal sound and noise. It is necessary to treat circulating water to meet the requirements of water chiller.
5, the compressor is abnormal sound
The abnormal sound of compressor is a more important problem. Because the compressor is the "heart" of the chiller, special attention should be paid to the abnormal sound of the compressor. There are mainly three reasons for the abnormal sound of the compressor:
Cause one: The liquid refrigerant enters the compressor
Once the liquid refrigerant enters the compressor, because it cannot be compressed, liquid pressure will cause liquid shock to the internal structure, resulting in vibration or sound. In addition, too much refrigerant will dilute the refrigerant oil, causing mechanical parts wear.
Solution: Check whether there is too much refrigerant, and release excess refrigerant; Check the expansion valve opening, whether too large, timely adjust.
Cause two: Excessive refrigerant oil causes liquid shock
Solution: Check the refrigerant oil in the compressor and adjust it to an appropriate amount.
Cause three: Abnormal sound of the compressor cylinder and crankshaft generally, it is caused by the lack of lubricating oil, which causes abnormal wear and tear of the internal parts of the compressor, causes abnormal sound, affects the work of the compressor and reduces the service life of the equipment.
Solution: In this case, the compressor should be repaired or replaced. It is worth noting that regular inspection of the condition of the chiller and compressor can effectively avoid this situation.
Some industry people have encountered this situation, because the oil return pipe is not good, the loss of frozen oil, resulting in damage to the compressor crankshaft sleeve, greater noise, but also aggravate the wear.
A little sound in the normal use of the chiller is normal, but irregular and sudden noise should attract our attention.
