Comparison of the performance of air cooled and water cooled chiller:

Advantages of air cooled chiller: easy to install, the unit has been installed condensation fan, no need to external cooling tower, cooling water pump. Save investment, no need to purchase cooling tower, water pump, water pipe and other costs, reduce installation labor and installation cycle; For some small chiller more cost-effective, easy to move: compared with water cooling, no cooling water pipe, more flexible and convenient movement; For the lack of water resources, or water quality is not good (high hardness or salt) use.

Disadvantages of air cooled chiller: such as in the case of high ambient temperature, energy efficiency is only about 88% of water cooled chiller; If the user has cooling water tower or water pump, the investment cost of the first use of air cooled chiller is higher than that of water cooled chiller; The air cooled chiller will discharge hot air to the surrounding environment and make noise from the cooling fan.


Advantages of water-cooled chiller: compared with air-cooled chiller, the efficiency of water cooler is much higher. Even if the ambient temperature is higher, the water cooler can play a certain cooling effect on the equipment. The cooling performance is stable, but also can effectively play a certain throttling role.


Disadvantages of water-cooled cooling chiller: installation is more complicated, use needs to be equipped with outdoor cooling water tower and water pump together, and because the unit is working in water circulation to cool the equipment, so the need to do the water management, later maintenance and maintenance costs are high.
