The operation of refrigerant, heat transfer medium, cooling water, etc. in the normal temperature range is the first condition to ensure the normal operation of the unit. Maintenance is not only convenient for normal operation in the next year, but also prolongs the service life. Especially the water-cooled chiller has a huge impact on the use of the equipment. If maintenance is not paid attention to, it may even affect the use of the next year, so it must be paid enough attention to. For the chiller, even in winter, customers will still require 24-hour use of the chiller for temperature control of production. For industrial production, the chiller should be maintained as follows. Same as in summer, necessary cleaning and inspection of the chiller system is essential. All kinds of situations that may affect the operation of equipment must be recorded, repaired and replaced.
1. The exterior of the chiller is clean.
Whether there are too many impurities such as dust on the outside of the equipment is easy to judge during use, and it also reminds the operators that they need to stop and clean the equipment. Equipment operators should regularly disassemble the dust-proof net for cleaning, use a compressed air gun to blow away the dust accumulated in the condenser, use qualified cleaning items to scrub the equipment, and dry it with high-pressure gas. Clean industrial chiller fans. The fan is cleaned by cleaning the parts, free of debris and dust, which is conducive to the heat dissipation of the chiller and achieves efficient operation next year.
2. Check the electrical control system of the chiller.
The electrical control system of the chiller is the core control center of the entire system, and the lines will be deformed, corroded, or even broken due to long-term harsh environment operation, which requires us to periodically record and maintain.
3. Clean the scale of the internal pipe (water tank) of the chiller.
The previous article also mentioned that pollution is a flaw for the heat exchange system of the chiller. As long as the water source is used, it is inevitable that scale will appear due to the long-term use of the equipment, which will cause abnormal high and low pressure of the chiller in the later periodImproper temperature control damages lifespan. Through regular water tank coil and internal pipe scale inspections, we can understand and record the water quality. It is very important to scientifically treat impurities in advance. Generally, chemical and physical methods are used to deal with chiller scale.
4. Chiller mechanical wear inspection.
Wear and tear caused by mechanical movement is inevitable, and it also determines the service life of the equipment. What we need to do is to reduce severe wear and eliminate potential safety hazards to the minimum. Regularly respond to the manufacturer's after-sales service, and cooperate with professional technicians to check the clearance and wear of bearings, shafts, and impellers, and perform maintenance, replacement or repair to ensure that the equipment operates within a controllable range.
For the situation that the chiller is not used in winter, in addition to the above 4 points of daily maintenance, the following should also be noted:
1. Drain the water from the chiller.
It is extremely important to drain the water out of the system to avoid the freezing of circulating water, which will cause the expansion and damage of pipelines and cooling components. After thorough cleaning and descaling, use dry high-pressure gas to dry the pipeline to avoid residual water from rusting the equipment and preventing the system from freezing. When the ambient temperature is lower than 0°C and shut down for a long time, or customers who do not add antifreeze and plan to shut down, they need to drain the inside of the chiller and the circulating water inside the pipes, and use a compressed air gun to blow off the water in the pipes to prevent the pipes from freezing. For adding antifreeze, but it is also planned to shut down for a long time, it is necessary to clean the inside of the chiller to produce equipment and pipe circulating water, so as to prevent the antifreeze from being stored for a long time, and the ethylene glycol will gradually transform into acid and cause corrosion;
It is not suitable to use antifreeze for a long time. When the temperature is above 0℃, replace it with pure water, distilled water and other water quality.
2. Prepare the chiller before placing it.
After cleaning the chiller, dry it, reinstall the sealing plate, place it in a place that does not affect production, and use a cover to cover the equipment to avoid dust intrusion, so that the chiller can be put into use in the next year.
